Rocky Burnette wasn't dealing in hyperbole when he titled his 1980 album, "Son of Rock & Roll". It just happened that he is, in fact, a second generation star. His dad, Johnny, was a pop star in the 50's & 60's, so it seemed so natural that his son would follow, albeit taking a harder edge.
Unfortunately, "Tired of Toein' The Line", despite a driving, pulsating beat, would be the younger Burnette's only Top 40 hit.
