Allan Arbus (1918-2013)

Character actor Allan Arbus played a number of different and diverse roles, but the one he will remain associated with was that of psychiatrist Sidney Freedman on M*A*S*H. Even though he only appeared in a handful of episodes over the course of the series' 11 year run, Arbus was as much a part of the fabric of the show. Earlier this week, Arbus passed away at 95. Following is a video montage of some choice bits with the good doctor........

We also say goodbye to singer-songwriter Richie Havens, best known as the opening act at Woodstock in 1969, who left us at 72, and baseball pitcher Rick Camp, who was a relief pitcher for several seasons in the 80's for Atlanta, perhaps best remembered for his part in one of the longest July 4 games in history, vs. the Mets, in which he hit his first homer in a game the Mets ultimately won. I'll have a Havens video up soon.

Rest in peace, gentlemen.
