Rockin' Funnies: Cartoons (1998)

Every now and again, if you flip on a Christian radio station, such as the K-Love network, you're bound to hear "Cartoons", a satirical track suggesting what would happen if certain cartoon characters became born again Christians. Singer-songwriter Chris Rice originally wrote the song in 1989 for a youth ministry, then released it as a secret track on a CD in 1998. However, because so many people didn't quite get the message he was trying to convey, Rice pulled "Cartoons" from his set list 6 years later. Rice clearly rewrote the track for CD release since Mike Judge's Beavis & Butt-Head, referenced in the video, didn't come along until 1991 (Liquid Television).

The video depicts a puppet made up to look like Rice, and the lyrics are on the screen so you can sing along.
