Yee-haw!! Texas may be one of the biggest states in the US, but would it be big enough to be considered a planet in someone's imagination? Well, other than Jerry Jones, that is.
Kenny Rogers recorded "Planet Texas" for his 1989 CD, "Something Inside So Strong". By this point, Rogers was strictly a country singer, his last pop crossover having been a few years earlier. By country music standards, this was waaaaaaaay out there, don't ya think, pardners?
