The latest "You're not you when you're hungry" spot from Snickers features Oscar winner Robin Williams, warping back in time to the early years in his career with a manic turn as a football coach. The addition of Bobcat Goldthwait as a cheerleader, though, was actually overkill.
I liked this ad. It's the Robin Williams so many of us grew up with!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind Bobcat's appearance. It's no more overkill than Abe Vigoda's appearance in the Betty White Snickers ad.
Yeah, Williams turned back the clock with this spot.
ReplyDeleteIn truth, there was no getting around Bobcat. In Vigoda's case, and some of the others, they made two versions, with the shorter ads getting more airplay (i.e Joe Pesci) than the longer versions (Don Rickles is also in the same ad with Pesci, but in the longer version).
