Remember Jenny the Housekeeper? (1975)

Here's a commercial I only recently discovered, because I never saw it when it aired the first time around.

In 1975, SC Johnson, then branded as Johnson Wax, hired actress-comedienne Rose Marie (The Hollywood Squares, ex-The Dick Van Dyke Show) to play Jenny, a traveling housekeeper, in a series of commercials for Pledge.

Being a regular on Squares allowed Rose to remain in the public eye as much as reruns of Dick Van Dyke did. Unfortunately, the ad campaign, pardon the pun, bit the dust in short order.
