Back in the day, Eveready batteries were part of Union Carbide before spinning off on its own.
Today, Energizer, named for the popular brand of batteries, also owns the rights to Edge shaving gel and other products. Go figure.
Back in 1980, though, Energizer was relatively new on the market. In this spot, a young boy (Robbie Rist, ex-The Brady Bunch, Big John, Little John) is recording a fiddle player on his battery powered tape deck. In the foreground is actor Ed Nelson (ex-Peyton Place).
