Remember Federated Electronics Stores? (Mid-80's)

Federated Stores was the west coast's answer to, say for example, Crazy Eddie in New York, except that Dr. Fred Rated (Shadoe Stevens) did a lot more commercials in a short period of time.

Federated was based out of Arizona, and I am not sure if the chain extended all the way east to New York. In any case, Shadoe would springboard into a 3 year gig as announcer (and later panelist) on Hollywood Squares, which led to being tapped to succeed the late Casey Kasem on American Top 40 in 1988.

Seems Shadoe forgot what year he started on Squares (1986), writing in the text for this montage on his YouTube channel that it was 1987, but we know better.
