A little of this and a little of that

ESPN announced Monday that their top college football broadcast team, Chris Fowler & Kirk Herbstreit, would call 1/2 of Monday Night Football's season opening double-dip on September 14, when the Steelers & Jets meet. In the nightcap, the new MNF team of Steve Levy, Brian Griese, and Louis Riddick, will debut. Levy & Griese have also called college games for ESPN and ABC over the years, while Riddick, who played for Detroit among other teams in the NFL, was a studio analyst and commentator.

Look at it this way. It ain't going to be boring.

Eric Trump, alias Stupid E, issued a 4 word condemnation of night 1 of the Democratic National Convention, defining it as "terrible", and got roasted on Twitter. Well, what did you expect?

And they think either he or his brother, Dumb Donald II, is a future candidate? As if.
===============================

Former First Lady Michelle Obama, shown above, ripped into President Trump, only mentioning his name once, Monday night, putting him on full blast for his lack of empathy in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, and describing him as being "in over his head". HA! I've said that many times during this administration.

Late Night host Seth Meyers likened Mrs. Obama's headline appearance to Beyonce headlining the first night of the Coachella festival, as a means of getting people to stick around for the rest of the party.

So what does the President do? He holds a rally in Wisconsin, and repeated his claim that if he were to lose on November 3, the election would be rigged. Yeah, so like a spoiled brat to make such juvenile claims.

Meanwhile, Postmaster General Louis DeJoyless is likely going to go before Congress next week to try to spin his way out of the mess he's gotten himself in. Meantime, they've stopped removing mailboxes until at least after the election. Seeing pictures of this goof remind me of a certain cartoon character we all know. Some fella named Fudd.

  1. Seth Myers has a point!

I personally couldn't bear watching this travesty (to be fair, I'm not planning on watching the RNC convention either).

I'm quite sick and tired of both main parties. It's time to have more choices.

  2. Unfortunately, both main parties tend to manipulate the media any way they can (which is why I decided to go with a 3rd party candidate in '16, but no way am I supporting Kanye) to ensure they get all the attention. They refuse to allow 3rd parties to participate in debates at the naional level, which is discriminatory and unfair.

So what are our choices in 2020?

    A delusional man-child.
A former VP whose mental faculties are questioned.
A Grammy-award winning rapper who suffers from being bi-polar, and is even more unpredictable.

Election night sponsors include Depends, Milk of Magnesia, Dannon yogurt, Ginkoba, Metamucil......

  3. There's no way in Helvetica that I'm voting for Coonye West. For one, Independent candidates never win elections and for another Ye is out of his mind and until recently was a cheerleader for Donald Dump, so...no.

@magicdog: I share your frustration, but to suggest that both Dems and Repugnants are equally flawed is an exaggeration: The Democratic Party is far from perfect, but the Republican Party has become the party of racism, sexism, xenophobia and division. One or two more options would be nice, but we need to see the bigger picture. Right now, it's not about politics anymore; it's the common sense removal of a "man" who is clearly and laughably unfit for the job that he's been holding. Fat Bastard needs to go and the time for that is now! Biden is not my guy, but I'll crawl over broken glass to get to the booth and vote President Eric Cartman out of office. You may not care for the Dems, but there are only two choices. Vote blue unless you want four more years of Trump's BS.

  4. The way I see it, Biden is a placeholder; a return to some semblance of normalcy while we fumigate the White House and wash Fat Q*Bert's stink off of the country. I'm not expecting miracles or a roaring tsunami of change from Joe and Kam, I just want to get human beings in there and get Traitor Trash and his evil cabal out of power.

I get you're not a fan of Democrats, magicdog, I'm not in love with them either, but we sure can't count on Republicans to do the right thing now, too many of them have drank the Trump Kool-Aid and have sold their souls to this deranged death cult. I can't back the Repubs because they're racists, and don't tell me they're not racists; anybody who'd vote Il Douche into the Oval Office, employ the likes of Stephen Miller and Steve King and rub elbows with the likes of Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham is a racist. The R's want to show me that they're not racist? Dump Trump, denounce Fixed Noise and give Miller the keys to the street. Until then, The not-so Grand Old Party can lose my number ASAP.

Right now what we need is a a cleansing. We can play identity politics and pick and choose favorites once Obese Wan Kenobi is gone. Getting rid of the Annoying Orange is priority #1. Ideologies and niceties come later.
