A primer on being a gracious loser (1968)

Return with us now, to a time when the Republican & Democratic parties conducted their business more professionally.

In 1968, former Vice President Richard Nixon ascended to the Presidency, defeating Minnesota Senator Hubert Humphrey. There were no frivolous lawsuits, like the ones filed by President Trump this year. As you'll see, Humphrey accepted defeat graciously.....

The 70's saw Humphrey as a guest on the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast, and even if he wasn't there, impressionist Rich Little made sure Humphrey was there in spirit. Today's comedians would rather picture Trump as the spoiled child who never grew up, which is exactly what he is.
