Today, Lava soap is no longer part of Procter & Gamble, as they've sold off some of their secondary brands. Back in 1966, however, it was right up there with Ivory, Camay, & Safeguard, especially in terms of advertising.
To this point, P & G's ad agency prevailed upon Batman producer William Dozier for this in-show (we think) spot, in which Commissioner Gordon (Neil Hamilton) scolds Chief O'Hara (Stafford Repp, ex-General Hospital) for having dirty hands, as the Dynamic Duo (Adam West & Burt Ward) are witnesses to this rare occasion:
Makes me think P & G was a regular sponsor of Batman during its 26 months on the air.
