EF Hutton had a series of short ads produced in the 70's and 80's with a simple message. "When EF Hutton talks, people listen". Literally. Take this 1978 spot, for example:
I've heard of stopping traffic, but this is a real grabber.
Fans of The Edge Of Night doubtless recognized the guy in the grey suit as Forrest Compton, who was about two-thirds of the way through his tenure as Mike Karr in 1978.
Just thought I'd show off a little ...
(... and no, I don't know who the other guy is ...) *darndarndarndarndarn*
You can get a better look at Henderson Forsythe ("Hank" to his friends) by checking out your post about Nearly Departed, Eric Idle's short-lived sitcom from the '80s (he's the Old Man who winks at the camera).
And while you're at it, you might try looking up the spots he did for KFC, following the death of Colonel Sanders; Forsythe donned prosthetic makeup to play the Colonel (did a fair job with the voice, too ...).

One commentator on YouTube ID'd Compton as well, and the other dude, they say, is Henderson Forsythe (no relation to John?).\
