A little of this and a little of that

"How do I know you're not sick? You could be some deranged lunatic!"--DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, "Parents Just Don't Understand", 1987.

While Florida courts will finally decide the fate of school shooter Nikolas Cruz, a GOPer running for Congress from the Sunshine State thinks schools should add a course in marksmanship to the curriculum.

SAY WHAT??

Meet Anthony Sabatini, who's imbibed enough Trump-Aid to make the bold statement that Florida schools should teach kids---at the high school level, we must assume----how to shoot guns.

Would you actually trust this man?

What this jackass is doing is enabling the prospect of another school shooting, a copycat of what happened four years ago when Cruz opened fire at his former school. Otherwise, this Weasel is following the GOPer party line of lying about the 2020 elections, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and other topics anathema to Florida GOPers.

I have to ask. Does this moron think there was any truth to the line in Scandal's 1985 hit, "The Warrior", when Patti Smyth sings in the chorus, "Shoot at the walls of heartache"? Knowing today's GOPers, probably.

College basketball season is over after Kansas won the NCAA men's title on Monday, beating North Carolina, 72-69. The Jayhawks were the last #1 seed left in the tournament, and copped their 4th national title. More than 24 hours earlier, because their game was at a more reasonable hour, South Carolina won the women's title, battering UConn.

Bring on baseball.

"When you think you've got all the answers, I change the questions!"---Roddy Piper, 1980's.

We all cringed when rumors started circulating that WWE CEO/Chairman/head lunatic Vince McMahon, 76, would get back in the ring at Wrestlemania, 12 years after he had lost a street fight to Bret Hart.

But, then, common sense took over, and a younger, hungrier wrestler, Austin Theory, stepped into face football player-turned-broadcaster Pat McAfee on Sunday.

McAfee won the match, picking up his first win overall, and that should've been the end of it, but no.

McMahon decided to be a jerk, and had a short match with McAfee, needing Theory's help to pick up his first-ever win at the Show of Shows.

Why did he do this? Two reasons, really.

1. This came 24 hours after old foe Stone Cold Steve Austin came out of retirement and beat Kevin Owens, after the latter coaxed Austin into a match, another bout no one thought would actually take place, especially since Austin had his last match in 2003.

2. McMahon's own son-in-law, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, who opened Sunday's proceedings by making his retirement formal before the "WWE Universe", 9 days after appearing on ESPN's First Take and Stephen A.'s World.

What McMahon decided to do was steal the spotlight from both. Factor in a short story arc between Natalya and Aliyah having to do with Natalya's entry in the Guinness Book of World Records over on Smackdown some weeks back, and you get McMahon's motivation. Austin was hailed as the oldest wrestler to win at Wrestlemania, but McMahon couldn't have that. He did this to spite Austin & Levesque, just to show that he can still "go", and I use the term loosely, at his advanced age. He had to feed his ego. His match with McAfee should never have been allowed to take place at all. Instead, he ruined the night for everyone, including his own talent roster.

To that end, McMahon joins Anthony Sabatini in earning Weasel ears this week.
