Musical Interlude: Into The Fire (1987)

Dokken's "Into The Fire" was originally released in 1987, and included in the movie, "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors", along with the film's theme song, "Dream Warriors".

32 years later, the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) obtained a license (they're owned by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan) to use "Fire" as the theme to their online series, NWA Powerr, airing on YouTube on Tuesdays. We'll look at Powerr another time, but let's warp back to 1987.

Big Dokken fan here, who saw them open for Dio in 1984 and Judas Priest in 1986, and Into the Fire was on 1984's Tooth and Nail LP. Was their second big radio/MTV hit after the previous year's Breaking the Chains. The band did have their biggest LP to date in 1987 with Back for the Attack, but unfortunately, George Lynch and Don Dokken weren't getting along at all by that point.

And Lynch later spun off into Lynch Mob, as memory serves me.
