As the 518 begins phase 2 of reopening businesses today, it appears that those businesses that are reopening, such as barber shops & hair salons, will have to follow the lead of other businesses in the area and resort to boarding windows to avoid any further protests over the death of Minneapolis resident George Floyd last week.
I think that once we're all sure the worst is over, the boards will come down. Just sayin'.

Rob Gronkowski's wrestling career is on hold, now that he's back in the NFL with Tampa Bay.
Gronkowski appeared on Monday Night Raw in a videotaped segment that saw him lose the WWE 24/7 title to R-Truth (Ron Killings). Gronkowski's contract with the Buccaneers prohibits him from getting in the ring, apparently, so WWE released him from his contract on Tuesday.
Don't worry. Gronk will be back.

Meanwhile, veteran wrestler Jaxson Ryker (Chad Lail), an ex-Marine, tweeted his support of President Trump's handling of the protests, which got Lail in trouble with his fellow wrestlers, including fellow ex-Marine and Forgotten Sons teammate Steve Cutler.
Even though Trump is in the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame, and is a personal friend of CEO/Chairman Vince McMahon, the president's growing toxicity is having a negative effect on some members of the WWE locker room.
Some, but not all, I suspect.

It might be a harbinger of things to come, but Iowa Congressman Steve King lost a Republican primary in Iowa on Tuesday. King has supported white nationalists/supremacists in the past, but there are factions of the GOP looking to distance themselves from such controversies. Whether that distancing extends to the White House and Trump's re-election in November, remains to be seen.

After North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said he couldn't guarantee the GOP that their convention, scheduled for August in Charlotte, would be held safely, President Trump did what he usually does.....
Trump is threatening to move the convention out of North Carolina, but what state would be ready to host the event on two months notice? That is something Trump isn't even considering as of press time. There are those that believe that there is no need for an actual convention, which the press is referring to as a mere formality to officially nominate Trump for his 2nd term.
Apparently, Trump hasn't considered doing the smart thing, and making the convention a virtual event that would still be carried by television networks. Considering the ratings ABC & ESPN got for the 3-day, virtual NFL Draft in April, you would think Trump would jump on that and figure it can work for him, too. No, it seems the GOP is under the assumption that it'll be safe by mid-August. I wouldn't be so sure. Better safe than sorry, and all that, because a lot can happen to change the landscape between now & then. Stay tuned.
