In the 80's, members of Fleetwood Mac branched out to release solo albums. Christine McVie, for example, released a self-titled CD in 1984 which produced her only top 10 solo hit, "Got a Hold On Me", which was more of a radio staple, not getting as much airplay on MTV. That year, MTV was spending more time keeping Michael Jackson, Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, and Billy Joel in heavy rotation.
