Maybe he should've used an elevator: Donald Trump had a bad day at the UN

 The most perpetually unhappy man in America, president Donald John Narcissus Trump, returned to New York Tuesday to address the United Nations.

Trump whined about the UN not doing anything to end wars across the globe, and that the UN is, in his tiny mind, more concerned with climate change.

Oh, but that ain't all.

Per the New Republic:

“All I got from the United Nations was an escalator that on the way up stopped right in the middle,” Trump said after claiming to have brought so much peace and prosperity to the world without any international assistance. “If the first lady wasn’t in great shape, she would’ve fallen. But she’s in great shape … and then a teleprompter that didn’t work. These are the two things I got from the United Nations: a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter. Thank you very much.”

Roughly translated:

"WAAAAHHHHH! The escalator's broken. The teleprompter doesn't work! WAAAAAHH!!!"

As it turns out, one of Trump's own staff accidentally turned off the escalator, so that mishap is easily explained away. As for the teleprompter, the UN says that's also on Team Trump.

Of course, it didn't help matters that ABC had reinstated Jimmy Kimmel, as reported yesterday, and Dumb Donald is threatening legal action against the network again.

Well, let me offer a reality check.

Trump and FCC chairman Brendan Carr have repeatedly lied. Carr intentionally misled the public in his opinion on Kimmel's September 15 remarks regarding the Charlie Kirk case. Since they really can't prove Kimmel said anything offensive, Carr & the FCC, and Trump as well, could leave themselves wide open for a defamation lawsuit from ABC. And since Trump acts on impulse, not on common sense, we recommend he think twice before he thinks about any litigation going forward.

And as for Sinclair Broadcast Group and Nexstar Media, which are continuing to black out Jimmy Kimmel Live! because of their own narrow point of view, it's a matter of time before they capitulate as well, and put the show back on their affiliates.

Trump? Maybe he needs a sedative before going anywhere, or he has to find an elevator the next time he's at the UN. Just sayin'.
