We're launching a new feature today, and one on Friday, to complement Insight Sundays. Welcome, then, to Wild West Wednesdays, where we'll showcase classic and more obscure Westerns from the 50's through the 70's, at least for now.
First up: From season 9 of Bonanza comes "Six Black Horses", which presents a bit of role reversal for fans of Batman. Burgess Meredith (The Penguin) plays an Irishman who wants to convert a saloon into a church. David Lewis (Warden Creighton) wants to keep the bar as is. Richard X. Slattery also guest stars.
Lewis, as you probably know, would resurface post-Batman on General Hospital for a few years, introducing the actor to a new generation of viewers. And you know about Meredith's post-Penguin career ("Rocky", Search, Korg: 70.000 BC, commercials...).
