Gerry Rafferty (1947-2011)

News has come across the wires reporting the passing of Scottish singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty, formerly of the 70's band, Stealers Wheel, at 63 due to liver failure.

Rafferty's biggest successes in the US came during the mid-to-late 70's, first with Stealers Wheel's "Stuck in the Middle With You", which Quentin Tarantino later included in the soundtrack to his 1992 film, "Reservoir Dogs". After Stealers Wheel split up, Rafferty, who'd released a solo record a few years earlier, released "City To City" in 1977, leading to his biggest hit, "Baker Street".

Rest in peace, Gerry.
