From season 2 of Shindig:
F-Troop's Melody Patterson sings live on the show, with a solo cover of the Vogues' "You're The One".
Melody was given a chance to sing on F-Troop, too. Watching the reruns on WPIX in the 70's, I had no clue at the time that she was actually a teenager when she was cast as Wrangler Jane. I wonder if she was on the cover of any teen magazines in those days.....

I had read that not only was Patterson a teenager when she was cast as Wrangler Jane (an awesome character BTW!) she was underage!
She had lied to producers when she auditioned and she looked a bit older than her true age (I believe she was only 14 or 15 at the time).
She wouldn't land the part today in the current environment, that's for sure.
Considering the bad reputation Hollywood has with child/teen actors, she would have been passed around like a toy at a daycare.
For all the wrong reasons....
