A little bit of political karma

This morning, we're waking up to the news that President Donald Trump and wife Melania have tested positive for COVID-19, mere hours after Presidential advisor Hope Hicks had also tested positive.

Trump himself tweeted the news shortly after midnight, and has had to postpone campaign visits to Wisconsin & Florida today. The Trumps will quarantine at the White House for the duration, but one cannot help but think that this is just a small sample of, well, karma.

"WAAAHHHH! I don't wanna be sick!"

Trump, 74, has shown a great deal of reluctance to wear a mask in public, and, of course, many of his hardcore, rabid followers follow suit. Wisconsin & Florida have experienced surges in coronavirus cases of late, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stupidly decided that he would just roll the dice and reopen the state, despite the resurgence of virus cases. As Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins opined earlier this week, DeSantis has flat given up on trying to fight off the virus.

It took Trump 48 hours to fully condemn white supremacist groups, such as the Proud Boys, whom Trump has already tossed under the bus, under pressure from both parties, the media, and most of America after virtually giving the Proud Boys a call to action during Tuesday's debate in Cleveland. I am reminded of some Bible passages.

In his letter to the Galatians, the Apostle Paul warned that "whatever you sow, you shall reap".

In the Old Testament, King Saul lost favor with God when he disobeyed the Lord by collecting the spoils of a raid after destroying an enemy before the prophet Samuel could arrive, and God soon anointed David to take Saul's place.

What that says to me is that God has had it with four years of deception from the Trump administration, and the positive test for COVID-19 for the Trumps may be a warning sign that if Trump does not fully embrace the Christian faith, his tenure in office will soon come to an end. With reports having surfaced that, supposedly, Trump has in fact conned the evangelicals all along (and many of us laymen believe that to be the case), while our prayers are with the Trumps and Hope Hicks this morning, maybe Trump might want to finally drop to his knees and pray for forgiveness. It wouldn't hurt.

Update, 10:08 pm (ET): President Trump checked into Walter Reed Hospital earlier this afternoon.

'Rona ain't real. It's just a hoax to make Trump look bad."/s

Hey guys, remember back in 2016 when that piece of garbage openly mocked Hilary Clinton for having a bout with pneumonia and then suggested that she should drop out of the election because of it? Well, who's laughing now, bee-yotch?

I kid, but seriously, I don't want want Trump to die; I want him alive to see the look on his face when he loses the Presidential Election. He shouldn't have to die, but he can feel some amounts of sickness and discomfort for each of the 200,000+ people who have died due to the virus that he ignored and downplayed for three months.

If there's an alfter life, I imagine that Herman Kain is laughing his butt off right now.

I think it's nothing short of poetic justice that Trash Dump has COVID, the very thing that he refused to do anything about back in January and spent the whole rest of the year trying to deny, downplay and basically let ravage the entire nation at the expense and risk of the citizens he supposedly swore to protect.

I also hope he recovers so he can face the stunning defeat that in all likelihood is coming his way.

Beyond that, I got nothing. I've had close relatives and friends catch COVID, so I know it's nothing to joke about, but at the same time, anyone waiting for me to give an ounce of sympathy for this rat-bastard and his "let them eat cake" wife (especially after the disparaging remarks the latter had to say about the children who were mercilessly ripped from their mothers' arms and tossed into cages) is in for a long, long wait. I can't pretend that I give 2 squats about these people; 'I hope they don't die' is the best I can muster.

That's why I said it was karma. Latest word is that he has "mild symptoms", and there are people, because he's cried wolf so many times, who believe he's lying yet again. This ain't a joke, though.

Donald Trump may be a terrible shitty president, but he does NOT deserve stuff like this.

Define "stuff", Steven.

He does not deserve to be sick.

No one wants to be sick, trust me. As a rule, we do not wish death on those we despise.
