What Might've Been: Open House (1989)

 Ah, the early years of the Fox network. Fox was already making inroads thanks to Tracey Ullman, whose series spun off The Simpsons, and Stephen J. Cannell, whose 21 Jump Street would lead to a short-lived spinoff, Booker.

Open House, our next subject, was itself a spin-off from Duet, with Chris Lemmon & Alison LaPlaca continuing from the previous series. The ensemble also included Philip Charles McKenzie (ex-Brothers), LaPlaca's real-life partner at the time, Ellen DeGeneres, Mary Page Keller, and Nick Tate (ex-Space: 1999).
