The US Tennis Association had sent memos to ESPN asking the network not to show fans booing president Trump when he appeared at Arthur Ashe Stadium today, in advance of the men's singles final.
While I think ESPN complied with the request, there was no way to avoid hearing the boos before the "Star Spangled Banner" played.

Trump, paying little attention to the fact that son-in-law Jared Kushner was dressed more casually than he, couldn't be bothered to take the hint. It would not have hurt him to find something casual to wear as well. In addition to Kushner and Trump's grand-daughter, Arabella, the entourage included Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, attorney general Pam Bondi, and press secretary/misinformation minister Karoline Leavitt. No sign of Melania Trump. Again.
This was another sporting event that Trump chose to attend to call attention to himself, taking attention away from the competitors. The reaction signaled that this was not the kind of homecoming Queens native Trump was hoping for, and you'd think he'd figure that out by now.

If Dumpster wants people to applaud, wait until he shuffles off from this mortal coil. Then, he'll get a standing ovation.
Down in the outer darkness, because Cheeto Narcissus ain't a Christian regardless of what he says.
