You'd have to be a total imbecile to go on Fox No News' morning show, Fox & Friends, and forward a limp talking point dismissing Russia as a "third rate military power".
But, that's what Florida Governor and prospective Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis did.
Fox No News will take comments from any dimwitted GOPer as long as they are disrespecting President Biden, who visited Ukraine recently. However, dismissing Russia's military capability wasn't smart at all.
To paraphrase Bruce Springsteen, DeStupid took one step up, and 10 steps back on the national stage. We do have to remember that DeStupid is the same idiot who is trying to restrict what kinds of books children should be reading as part of his misguided obsession with "owning the libs". This dimwit is a former teacher himself, and should know better.
Comedian Ron White has often been quoted here as saying, "you can't fix stupid". Oh, in this case, it's the truth.
I think you know what's headed DeStupid's way.....

DeStupid, like all of these other MAGA idiot blowhards, is only clinging to this culture war BS because a) Republicans have no platform, strategies or issues to stand on beyond them and b) he's throwing red meat to his racist base because it's obvious to everyone that he's angling for a Presidential run in 2024 and he's trying to sell himself as Thump 2.0, only less crazy and stupid.
But I don't think DeStupid is the big bad Biden killer the Not-So-GOP think he is. They may go for authoritarians in Floriduh (they many Floridians are good people who don't), but his Li'l Mussolini wannabe dictator act isn't going to play on the nationwide stage. We've already had one wannabe dictator in the Oval Office; nobody's clamoring for a sequel. Couple that with the fact that DeStupid has all the charm and charisma of a dead slug: he can't debate, he's clearly not comfortable around people, he hates shaking hands, he doesn't look people in the eye and he only goes to interviews with people inside his echo chamber who'll shine his behind and agree with everything he says; he comes up against a hard question and he folds like a deck of cards.
DeStupid is a clown, and unfortunately the joke is on the good people of Florida. The only thing more pathetic than Thump is a wannabe Thump.
Also I find it ironic in the extreme that DeStupid is now trying to attack President Biden, who's come to bail his sorry patoot out not once, but twice, with DeStupid getting something brown on his nose each time. Can you say "hypocrite", boys and girls?
DeStupid is a younger, dimmer version of Trump. He must've been an English teacher in a past career, because history isn't his strong suit. The fact that he refuses to shake hands suggests to me that he's a germophobe, kinda like Howie Mandel.
However, his misread on Russia is going to kill his White House chances dead like a nest of roaches in a cloud of Raid. I'd rather have Jersey Fats Christie get the GOPer nomination.....
