Will someone teach President Trump the definition of freedom of the press?

I'm sure by now you've seen the headlines stating that President Trump, in another temper tantrum, is threatening to take away media credentials from broadcast networks that present what he insists on calling "fake news".

Give me a break! Doesn't he understand the meaning of freedom of the press? He's been a public figure for nearly 40 years, a best selling author, a reality television personality, a former owner of a football team, and now, the perception is that, in the face of his most recent hire, former New York mayor and US Attorney General Rudy Giuliani, having a few too many public senior moments (i.e. his interview with Fox's Sean Hannity last week) of late, Trump is even more of a narcissistic man-child who throws tantrums when people don't agree with him about the smallest things.

For a man who professes to be a born-again Christian, Trump is behaving like anything but in public. Giuliani going back & forth on whether or not Trump knew about his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, paying actress Stephanie Clifford, aka Stormy Daniels, to keep quiet about her relationship with Trump isn't helping matters at all.

The perception is likely worse in countries that outright hate us. We're being governed by an old man in his third childhood, they may be thinking.

It's time Trump did some image repairs, and stopped with the constant tweeting that makes him sound like a brat.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

I'm not a liberal, nor a conservative. I respect the office of the President of the United States. For all the good things that President Trump has done up to this point, as we approach the halfway point of his tenure in the White House, they're swept under the rug because the ratings-obsessed broadcast networks, one of which Trump used to have a show for, are looking for dirt to dig up, however they can.

If it's true, it isn't "fake news". Trump would be well served to stop with the Twitter tantrums every time there's something he does not like or agree with. He has a responsibility as the leader of the free world to represent us in a positive light. That he's portrayed himself as an Ugly American from the start of his campaign nearly three years ago goes in the opposite direction. The whining about "fake news" suggests that Trump's behavior is very much detrimental to his position.

FYI:

Rudy Giuliani first came to national attention as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of the State of New York (AUSA for short); his specialty was going after mob figures, and he was then (as always) the most notorious headline chaser in his field.
He was never at any time the Attorney General of the United States - for which, thanks be to God.
