In the end, it wasn't the left after all: Charlie Kirk's killer caught

For all of the Republicans' repugnant rhetoric trying to blame Democrats or the "radical left" for Wednesday's murder of GOP influencer Charlie Kirk, it turned out that the killer, captured late Thursday night, has no political affiliation at all.

Tyler Robinson, 22, had implied to his family that he might've had something to do with Kirk's death over dinner Thursday, according to reports. A family friend then turned in Robinson, who was arrested around 10 pm local time.

It's also been reported that Robinson was opposed to Kirk's views on a number of topics, though none were specified. The GOP has thought so highly of Kirk, 31, that his coffin was loaded onto Air Force 2 by VP JD Vance himself Thursday. Also, president Donald Trump announced that Kirk would be given a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom. Given the warped viewpoints of the GOP, this wouldn't be too surprising. It wasn't so long ago that Trump also wanted to honor ambulance chasing disgrace Rudy Giuliani with a Medal of Freedom as well, but it appears he might've been talked out of it.

At least now Kirk's widow & children will get closure, and Kirk can rest in peace.
