Videos of Summer: Summer Rain (1967)

Johnny Rivers' "Summer Rain" may have peaked in the Top 40 in December 1967, but the very nature of the song itself lends to the days of sun and surf.

Edit, 7/18/19: Had to change the video. Here's a shot of the 45 being played by a YouTube poster.

Enough said.

I always liked Johnny Rivers, but this wasn't my favorite tune of his - "Secret Agent Man" was. But it turns up on the oldies stations now and then - and it's still a pleasant listen. Rather interesting that he sand of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. They were released the same year weren't they? I would have thought he and his girl would have been grooving to something else on the beach back then.

Yes, Sgt. Pepper also came out in '67. I said this peaked at the end of that year, and Pepper came out earlier.

Secret Agent Man was posted some time back. Keep an eye for it.
