Is the risk of innocent lives worth a reward?

"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."--Proverbs 16:18 (New King James Version)

President Trump raised some red flags Monday when he stood before a church in Washington, awkwardly holding a New Standard Version of the Bible, while peaceful protesters were being tear-gassed by military officers.

Trump is denying anything of the latter sort happened, and had his bubble-headed press shill, Kayleigh McEnany, try to explain away his photo op as "important".

Trump's detractors have known all along that he saw Kim Jong-Un and Vladimir Putin not only as contemporaries, but as inspirations as well, as if he was aspiring to be more than a President. However, his ego is much bigger than theirs combined.

Such is the enormity of said ego that he insisted that the graduating class of the US Military Academy at West Point would return for commencement on June 13, with him delivering the commencement address, putting the cadets at risk of contracting coronavirus. A published report today reveals that more than a dozen of those seniors have contracted the virus or have anti-bodies that would allow them to recover. Remember, West Point closed its doors, along with all other schools in New York, in March.

Trump doesn't care, and didn't want a virtual commencement, even though that would've been the prudent, right thing to do. He had to know that a virtual, nationwide commencement of high school seniors that included former President Obama as one of the speakers was a ratings smash last month, and we all know that anything Obama-related, especially in a positive light, will set off the nation's Oldest Baby.

No, Mr. President, the right thing to do is to stay in Washington, and do the virtual commencement. It is not worth risking more innocent lives, especially those who are committed to serving this country, just to be re-elected.

The time for lying to the people is over, but we know you're allergic to the truth. We know you're allergic to actually walking into a church. We know you're not fit to continue as President, because your actions of late, including false accusations over something that happened nearly 20 years ago, speak to desperation. You know, as we do, that you're in over your head, but you won't admit it. You accused governors across this country of being weak. Well, guess what? You're the weakling here, and have been all along, just like the spoiled rich brat you always have been.

You want to prove you're a man, a real man? Own up to the truth.
