Jackie Gleason's variety show had been off the air for a couple of years by the time he was approached by General Electric to do a series of commercials.
Here, he plays the top-hatted Reginald Van Gleason, surrounded by some very attractive women. Johnny Olsen, who was Jackie's announcer when The Jackie Gleason Show moved to Miami, has that chore here.
