Musical Interlude: Take me Home Tonight (1986)

Eddie Money's "Take me Home Tonight", the first single from 1986's "Can't Hold Back", was a tribute to 60's icon Ronnie Spector, to the point where Ms. Spector came out of retirement to join up with Money.....

I didn't know you could make saxophones that small....

Always loved this tune!

Money (RIP) was always a strong singer and had that certain something. I wish he could have done more creatively, but IIRC drugs was a demon of his and he'd been in rehab more than once.

Spector pretty much retired after she got away from her psycho husband (and mentor) Phil Spector. She could still
"uh-uh-oh" as well as she ever did! I'm curious what it took to get her to sing for that single.
