Now they want to revive Who's The Boss??!??

Word has come down the pike that, yes, Who's The Boss?, which ran for 8 seasons on ABC (1984-92), is the latest classic series being revived.

This time, it's an update on the story, picking up where the original series left off. Tony Danza & Alyssa Milano are already aboard, and will serve as co-executive producers with no less than Norman Lear, who was the owner of Embassy Communications, which was first sold to Coca-Cola Corporation, then to its current steward, Sony. No word on if Judith Light & Danny Pintauro would return. Katherine Helmond (Mona) passed away last year, so figure Mona's passing will be addressed in the new series.

To refresh, here's the intro to season 1:

I've a feeling that, like Fuller House and the Latin-themed revival of One Day at a Time, the new Boss will find its way to a streaming service near you.

I wish they'd stop with the revivals! At least revive things we WANT to see.

Or maybe do a TV movie update - rather than a series. Methinks Milano is in need of funds after shooting her mouth off during METOO! and praising Biden's handsy approach.

It's a shame because I enjoyed this show back in the day. What would we even see anyway? Tony retired? Sam still married with kids (last I recall, she had married some hunky guy n the final season) who are probably off to college by now? Mona's gone (Helmond was hilarious in that role!) and Judith Light all but vanished when the show ended. Danny Pintauro I think left the acting biz so I don't know if he'd come back - or if TPTB want him back.

Just come up with something semi - original please!!!

The idea here is that Sam (Milano) is now a single mom. Judith Light has moved on to Law & Order: SVU, and they're planning to talk to her & Pintauro about returning.

Hollywood is creatively bankrupt, and you have network and studio executives who've been conditioned to believe viewers want pre-sold product, hence all the reboots.
