Weasel of The Week: Herschel Walker

40+ years ago, he was a football hero. Today, Herschel Walker is a carpetbagging Senate candidate who returned to Georgia, presumably at the request of Donald Trump, his former boss in the USFL, to challenge Rev. Raphael Warnock for Senate.

Just days before the runoff election, however, it seems as though Walker's chances of winning have taken a turn for the worse, with revelations that he is claiming the rental property he owns in Georgia as his residence while also getting an exemption on his Texas mansion.

Now, I'd argue that the GOPers are exploiting him because of the prospect of brain damage he might've suffered as a football player in the 70's, 80's, & 90's, and he may very well have lingering effects of CTE, making him very vulnerable to manipulation by influential GOPers like Trump, Lindsey Zing-a-Graham, Timex Cruz, Empty-G, et al, because the GOPers want that Senate seat back.

Here's Farron Cousins' take:

Five days remain until the runoff. Early voting has already started in the Peach State. Even if Walker were to win, he's likely losing because of the legal kerfluffles in Texas AND Georgia, which already has resulted in Walker getting this week's Weasel of The Week award. The last time Walker was in Washington, he was playing football. I doubt he'll be there in January.
