Domino's' contribution to the Super Bowl commerical parade last month was a homage to the classic 80's sitcom, Cheers, using a few bars of Gary Portnoy's theme song, "Where Everybody Knows Your Name", which, oh, by the way, was released as a single, but didn't go very far up the charts.
Anyway, the commercial includes a cameo appearance by George Wendt as Norm Petersen. I honestly couldn't tell if they used some computer trickery to recreate Wendt's Cheers debut from season 1......
Sneaky way of promoting the new Pie Pass service, I know, but a cool way of honoring a classic TV show at the same time.

Wendt looks pretty youthful here, so I'm going to stick my neck out and say this was taken from an old episode and inserted digitally. When I first saw the commercial, I thought it was well done, and for a split second I thought - "Hey! Wendt looks pretty good after all these years!". Of course, he has aged and I'm sure no amount of makeup or de-aging technique could cover that up.
He recreated one of the characters from SNL a while back - the skit in which he plays a Bears fan (Da Bears!) - he really looked old in that.
Looks like a cut from, as I suspected, Norm's first appearance on Cheers. Wendt's probably still getting paid, though.
