It only aired once, and apparently couldn't find an audience, so it wasn't rerun. For the life of me, I still can't figure out why H-B was dealing exclusively with NBC on their live-action projects. Legends was clearly on the wrong night and channel, for example, and ABC might've been able to do something with Sgt. TK Yu.
Johnny Yune passed away 8 days ago at 84 due to complications from dementia.

Thank you for this post. I came across it when I recently tried to find more info on this show. I'm saddened to hear of Johnny Yune's passing. I was fortunate enough to have watched Sgt. T. K. Yu the only time it aired and have always remembered its title.
For some reason, the plot of Yu's search to find out what happened to the girl singer has haunted me for all these years. Some parts I remember fairly vividly, others not so much, like when he's doing his stand-up routine. I think the girl was presumed dead and I remember him pretending to be working for a crime family, or something like that, and he has to wear a white rose, or something like that, when he visits this guy he thinks killed her. I believe the guy was the actor who played Baltar on the original Battlestar Galactica. But it turns out the guy really was in love with her and continually replays a film of her singing.
I'm sure if could watch this movie again it would be a lot cheesier than I remember, but I really wish I could see it again.
It would help if it was exhumed from the vaults. Thanks for writing.
